Cookie Policy

Last updated: 8 June 2026

We aim to keep this website lightweight and privacy-respecting. This policy explains precisely what cookies and browser storage we use, why, and how you can manage them.

01What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device via your browser. They allow the site to recognise your device across page loads, maintain login sessions, or gather aggregate usage statistics. Some storage mechanisms, such as localStorage, behave similarly but are never sent to our servers.

02Cookies and Storage We Use

Session Cookie (NextAuth)Strictly Necessary

When an administrator logs into the dashboard, NextAuth sets an encrypted, HTTP-only session cookie to verify their identity across requests. This cookie is never accessible to JavaScript and contains no personally identifiable information, only an encrypted session token. It is automatically deleted when the administrator signs out or after 24 hours of inactivity.

Public visitors are never issued this cookie.

Analytics (Plausible & Vercel Analytics)Analytics

We use two privacy-respecting analytics tools to understand aggregate traffic patterns, including how many people visit, which pages are viewed, and where traffic originates. Neither tool sets tracking cookies or fingerprints individual users. Plausible is cookieless by design and fully GDPR-compliant. Vercel Analytics aggregates data at the edge and does not build user profiles. No personally identifiable information is collected.

03What We Do Not Use

  • No advertising or retargeting cookies.
  • No cross-site tracking or third-party marketing pixels.
  • No social media tracking widgets.
  • No persistent user profiling of any kind.

04Managing Your Preferences

You can configure your browser to block or delete cookies at any time. Please refer to your browser's help documentation for instructions. Note that blocking cookies will prevent administrators from logging into the dashboard, as session verification depends on the NextAuth session cookie described above. Public visitors are unaffected by this restriction.

05Changes to This Policy

If we introduce new cookies or storage mechanisms, this policy will be updated and the "Last updated" date will change. Questions? Email info@theconfluence.co.in.
